Acoustic Ballads for Loners and Suchlike
In 2020, at the age of 15, Josh. started his career with the album “Acoustic Ballads for Loners and Suchlike” – a small miniature release about a hopeless romantic backed up purely by himself and a acoustic classical guitar. This had the comedic single “London Beaches” – fusing folk, rap and bedroom pop for a quick laugh and jab at UK seaside’s.
That song features percussive shakes from Lego in a cup and a drum beat created by a friend. The single has amassed over 1,500+ streams online.
“Acoustic Ballads for Loners and Suchlike” is exactly what the title says it is; a collection of love ballads that Josh. recorded all put into one album for “Loners and suchlike”. The first half of this album is purely covers of varying classics and more obscure love ballads. The second half (London Beaches onwards) was all written by himself about his personal relationships.

Goodbye Sixteen (I Don't Want To Grow Up)
Goodbye Sixteen (I Don't Want To Grow Up) is the second song and single from "Drawing Hearts" that gives one of the most heartfelt Josh. songs to date. Written on the cusp of a new birthday, it's about not wanting to grow up and not accepting the future and adulthood yet. But ultimately, it's also about having to come to turns with the inevitable as the clock strikes twelve. It is the first song from Josh's that feature electric guitar and was all recorded on his phone's voice recorder for a lo-fi feel.

sorry, i'm having one of those days
Around summer 2021, Josh. was heavily inspired by Crywank and Wilbur Soot to make acoustic songs that spoke about the changes that were happening around him and to him as a writing exercise musically and lyrically. He wrote about 5-6 songs in that timespan but only one of them, “The Next Step”, he thought was of value. He then finalized “The Next Step” but left the remaining tracks in a very raw-demo state and released “sorry, i’m having one of those days”.
While keeping the raw recordings and combination of solely voice and guitar, the release saw Josh. going back past love and attempting to tackle more in-depth themes such as politics, frustration, repetition, the idea of memories and object permeance and death itself. It takes a very anti-folk feel, akin to Crywank, and was recorded with phone voice recorders to give a lo-fi feeling.
A year later, Josh. revisited the project and finished off 2 songs that were intended on the E.P. creating a fully fleshed out project.
01. The Next Step
02. Everyone's Just a Memory When You're Alone at Night
03. Nurse
04. The Next Step, Pt. II
05. If I Die Now

Drawing Hearts
Drawing Hearts is Josh’s sophomore release all about being young, being in love and lovers blooming over hard times. Written and recorded over 2021, it’s considered one of his most polished and complete works and features hit single “Sleeping On My Shoulder”. The indie-pop album saw Josh. play with electric guitars, percussive elements, experimental mixing and wider soundscapes. He tackles a range of what it means to be "indie" - from indie folk ballad "Autumn Leaves" - complete with actual sounds from his dates. To the hard rocking "One Day (Just You and I)" having a garage rock sound backed by the drums from Luan Maziero. Then to more ambient dream-wave sounds such as "Theme from an 80's Movie" and "Let's Watch The Stars". With "Sleeping On My Shoulder" Josh's quintessential indie-pop masterpiece.
The deluxe edition features a slightly toned down mix of every song, separate links from “Let’s Watch The Stars” and “Autumn Leaves”, the sister “Urban Outfitters” E.P. and a demo for scrapped closer “Aftermath”.

Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters is an indie rock song inspired by the time Josh almost had a panic attack in-said shop. It was a huge departure from previous softer sounds to go into a hard crunchy indie rock song about feeling entrapped, isolated and alienated. It was released in an E.P. with two b-sides; a lo-fi and acoustic versions of Sleeping On My Shoulder.
